Zach Campbell

Zach Campbell is a senior researcher with with the Technology, Rights and Investigations division, investigating surveillance and other forms of tech-driven repression, with a special focus on policing and migration. Before joining Human Rights Watch, Zach worked as an investigative journalist, covering border policing, police surveillance and related tech development and proliferation in Europe. He holds an M.A. in international relations from the University of the Basque Country and a B.A. in political science from the University of Vermont. Zach speaks English, Spanish and Catalan, and is based in Barcelona.
